Harmonized Impact Assessment – Phase 1

Niiwin Wendaanimok Partnership

July 2019 – March 2020

Project entails Phase 1 of the proposed twinning of Highway 17 across Manitoba and Ontario. The Harmonized Impact Assessment model created by the team is a unique approach rooted in the Manito Aki Inaakonigaawin (the Great Earth Law) and reflects the best practice principles of Impact Assessment as developed by the International Association for Impact Assessment. Phase 1 focuses on the twinning from the Manitoba-Ontario border eastward up to Highway 673.

You can learn more about Phase 2 here.
