Narratives is supporting Clan Mothers undertake the IKWEWI project to understand and reduce gender-based sexual violence, exploitation, and trafficking of Indigenous women, girls, 2-Spirit, and trans people with a focus on the resource extraction and construction industries. The project involves building a national network of project partners, developing, and delivering a training program for those in the extraction and construction industries, and creating a national information campaign to raise awareness on this issue. All aspects of this work are rooted in the wisdom and knowledge of Elders and lived-experience experts, and in the application Indigenous matrilineal values.
