Overview

Story

Nee Kee Wa Nan means We’re Going Home in Cree. Led by Fort Albany First Nation, and in partnership with Clinic Psychology Manitoba and Cree Mental Health Counselors, Knowledge Keepers, and Elders, this project entailed development of a Strategic Plan for Survivors of the St. Anne’s Indian Residential School. Approach entailed facilitated workshops to reflect on the meaning of healing, the impacts of colonial systems, and resources and lessons within Cree teachings to build a healing path to support Survivors as they undertake work at the St. Anne’s Indian Residential School to search for unmarked graves.
