The work of Narratives extends throughout Turtle Island on Treaty territories, traditional ancestral, and unceded lands. The Narratives head office is situated on Treaty #1 Territory - the original lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Anisininew, Dakota and Dene Peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation. We acknowledge that our water is procured from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation in Treaty #3 Territory and that our electricity is generated in northern Manitoba, which falls under Treaty #5 territory. We honour the Treaties established on these lands, recognizing the historical and ongoing harms, and commit ourselves to forging a path of reconciliation and cooperation with Indigenous communities as we walk together.
